Leaving an apartment with any form of damage can be cause for losing a security deposit. Landlords cannot dock tenants for normal wear and tear, but sometimes figuring out the difference can be tough. Does a worn out rug count as damage? How about paint? Here is a quick list of a few things that are considered damage in an apartment.
