Easiest Indoor Plants To Own

Are you horrible with plants? A green thumb, without the green or the thumb? If you’ve killed everyone plant you’ve ever owned, but still want to adorn your apartment with something green, here are three of the easiest indoor plants to have.

Pothos: I have no idea what this plant is, but it does have an air purifying qualify that absorbs toxins. The plant also does well in normal, apartment conditions, and prefers to go a few days between watering.

Aloe: is known to have medicinal properties (just ask your grandma) and prefers dry soil. So this is a plant that will stay alive with little care.

Spider plant. this plant has a fun and interesting look that could go great with your apartment’s décor. The plant also thrives in 60 to 75 degree temperatures.

How To Plan A Weekend Getaway

Planning a vacation doesn’t have to be a week-long event. Sometimes a quick, weekend getaway can be enough to keep you charged and ready to finish off the summer. If you are planning a weekend trip, here are a few tips for planning something awesome.

Be flexible with your destination: being flexible and deciding on a last minute destination not only adds to the spontaneity of the trip. But it might also find you a deal as well. Sites like Priceline or Expedia off last minute deals. So jump and the site and find out which hotels are the most affordable and plan your trip around that.

Pack snacks: if you do not have kids, snacks are something that might not cross your mind. However, snacks can save you time and money on a weekend trips. Pack away waters, fruits, chips or anything else you can snap on.

Pack the night before: if you are not taking Friday off from work, you need to pack the night before. Chances are you won’t hit the road until the late afternoon, so have everything packed and ready.

Everyone has a favorite part about summer, but at the Artists Village Apartments, what we love most is the barbecues (yes, we love food). If you are planning to host a few cookouts over the next couple of months, here are three awesome BBQ tools to consider.

Himalayan Salt Plate: cut form the Himalayan salt mines and direct shipped to the US. This cutting board adds a wonderful flavor to any BBQ food. The blocks cost $34.99 on Amazon.

American Flag Spatula or Apron: show your guest how much you love ‘Merica with a cool apron or American flag spatula. The items can both be found online in the $20 range.

Grill Cleaning Robot: the worst part about a BBQ is the cleanup. So why not skip that hassle and get a grill cleaning robot instead. The robots are similar to the circular floor cleaning robots we’ve all seen and cost in the $100 range.
